About Us

Greetings, all you funky people! I’m Zyra, and here are a few things you need to know about me. I have always been obsessed with earrings. Yes, I’ll admit it. I have hundreds of pairs in my collection with no desire to reduce my stash anytime soon. They make me smile; they make me happy; and they allow me to show a small piece of myself to the world – albeit hanging from my lobes. In a nutshell, I’m one of those people that choose my earrings first, THEN my clothes for the day.

My other love in this world (apart from my son, husband and dog… of course!), is LEGO. As my son grew old enough to play with those colourful little bricks, I found myself falling head over heels for them all over again. Before I knew it I was looking at LEGO sets waaaay too old for my son, and started using phrases like “I just need a modified 1x1 brick with 2 studs on adjacent sides, in bright light orange”. I was having fun and I loved it!

It was just a matter of time before the two obsessions merged into one: Block Your Ears was born one Saturday morning in Brisbane, Australia as I faffed about with LEGO on my living room floor. Our journey started with a simple belief: that each day is an opportunity to let your inner-child reign supreme.

Remember the days of building castles in the clouds and chasing rainbows with unbridled enthusiasm? That's the spirit we infuse into each and every one of our earrings. These aren't just accessories; they're tiny, wearable reminders of a world where laughter is limitless and playtime never ends. They’re cheerful, they’re quirky, and they’re funky.  Just. Like. You.
